The landscape of the Karelia region, made up of lakes and forests, is a paradise where you can experience nature in its purest form. The design of the house seeks to become an amplifier that resonates with the values of place, the ground, the lake, the sky and the low light typical of the region.

The house is inserted into the land, by means of a stone retaining wall that marks the horizontal on the slope of the land and that articulates a series of spaces like patios and caverns inside. A floating wooden deck perches on the platform to provide shelter. All the remaining walls of the house are large movable panes of glass, dissolving the difference between interior and exterior.
